Welcome to the police memorial website for the Cold Spring, MN Police Department and specifically for Officer Thomas Edward Decker, who gave his life on November 29th, 2012. Responding to a welfare check at an apartment, Officer Decker, a 31-year-old father of four, was ambushed and shot. Officer Decker made the ultimate sacrifice as a peacekeeper for the citizens of the greater Cold Spring community. He stands as an immortal representative of police officers everywhere. As Abraham Lincoln said at Gettysburg in 1863, he has given “the last full measure of devotion.”
In memory of Officer Decker and his sacrifice, as well as an appreciation for the Cold Spring Police Department, we constructed a memorial in their honor. Check out the video from the commemoration ceremony from November 27th, 2022, https://vimeo.com/839865420/4b27a3f513 Check out the Worldwide Ride for Officer Decker and all fallen officers. |
